Story a Day in May
So maybe you’ve noticed, but I’m way behind on my short story wordage for the year. I’ve got six stories written, plus two that are in need of finishing. But there’s a NaNoWriMo-style challenge this month at http://storyaday.org/ that I’m hoping will get me going. At the least, I’ll churn up some good story ideas that I can use later.
Plus, I’ve already submitted the story I wrote yesterday, so who knows!
May 2nd – Second story has been drafted! (900 words) I’ll clean it up tomorrow and maybe get it sent out. I’ll note my progress in the comments of this post from now on.
May 3rd – Story number three drafted. Intergalactic potty humor, 1000 words.
May 4th – Got my 4th story started…Elephant Assassins. 750 words and counting.
May 5th – Just a 100 word snippet of an idea today, but I love the idea! It involves artists and transporter buffers.
Well, that didn’t last long! Writing a short story a day is tough, doubly so when I’m trying to finish my novel at the same time, and do short story critiques, and critique another person’s novel. So I’m postponing this project until I type THE END on my manuscript! But I will be back!
